Welcome!
St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church is a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). We offer what you need the most -- the message of full and free forgiveness through Jesus Christ, the world’s only Savior from sin. That Gospel message is at the center of everything that we do here. St. John’s is a place for worship… a place for fellowship… a place for family… a place to grow spiritually… a place for you!
Our Mission:
United by faith in Christ, the men, women and children of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church gather to worship and serve our Triune God. Strengthened through Word and Sacrament, we respond to Christ’s command (Matthew 28: 19-20) by seeking lost souls for Christ and nurturing believers for lives of Christian service, all to the glory of God. |

CHURCH NEWS
Lenten Worship Lenten worship will be held at Millie Beneke Manor in Glencoe at 2:00PM on Wednesdays and our regular mid-week Lenten service will be at church at 7:00PM. The theme for our Lenten and Holy Week series this year is “See His Cross”. According to God’s plan of salvation, Jesus had to make the journey to the cross and then be raised from the dead in order to forgive our sins. This year we will follow his journey starting on Ash Wednesday and concluding with his glorious resurrection on Easter Sunday. We will take time to contemplate some of the surprising words Jesus spoke and some interesting events that happened as Jesus traveled to the cross. We will see how each event along the way clearly fulfilled God’s plan of salvation.
See His Cross!

Lenten Suppers will be served before each service again this year. Food will be served from 5:45 – 6:45PM. Free-will donations will be accepted. Like last year, Thrivent no longer gives supplemental funds. They have implemented a new program (Thrivent Choice Dollars) from which we receive funds. Check with one of our Thrivent representatives, Carol Dammann, Lonnie Rabe or Kathy Stuedemann, if you have questions about this Thrivent program. In any event, we appreciate your support for our church groups and our building fund. The serving schedule will be posted following our planning meeting. You may also check the Sunday bulletins. Come and fill up your stomach ahead of the service with a meal and then stay for worship to get soup for your soul. See you there!
Jesus Cares Bible Class We continue our ministry to people with developmental disabilities. Bible class is scheduled here at church on Thursday, February 16th at 6:30PM. Members of the congregation are welcome to come and join in this ministry.
Glencoe Expo Plans are being made for our church booth at the Glencoe Expo this year, February 18th – 19th. We are asking congregation members to lend a flat screen TV (32” or bigger) for our booth. Contact Jeremy Siers or Pastor Reichow for more information and watch the bulletins for dates and times when we need volunteers to help with this project. We will need volunteers to help assemble, set up and to man our booth. A sign-up sheet is in the narthex for workers at the booth during the expo. Thanks for all your help.
